Web3 Amsterdam, held on March 13-14, 2025, was a pivotal moment for Reef—a chance to reintroduce ourselves to the world at the perfect time. With our newly refined narrative now live on Reef.io, the event was an incredible opportunity to share our vision, connect with builders, and spark conversations about the future of blockchain accessibility.
One of the key messages from Reef at Web3 Amsterdam was how difficult it still is for users to get on-chain. As Derek Silva, COO at Reef, put it:
"Getting on-chain is still too hard. Our mission is to overhaul the user experience and onboarding process so that within five minutes, you can discover something exciting on Reef Chain, download our mobile app, create an account, claim your free .reef domain, fund your wallet, and start exploring."
This message resonated deeply with attendees. Many agreed that blockchain adoption hinges on simplifying the user journey and creating a Web2-like experience with familiar terms and features.

Web3 Amsterdam wasn’t just about sharing our message—it was about building relationships. We met representatives from Paribu, Svetlana from Hotcoin, and many others who were eager to rediscover Reef.
A significant takeaway was the number of potential partners interested in funding growth on Reef. Many asked whether we had a foundation or similar entity supporting ecosystem expansion. This has accelerated our plans to establish a new labs organization, which we will announce soon.
