# Reef Deep Current Update

Good morning Reefians! Today we are bringing you a very important update on project Deep Current, Reef's major upgrade to our technology stack.

Here's where we are at today, as of 7 May 2026:

*   We have conducted extensive testing on a set of private servers with test data, ensuring the data migration happens smoothly
    
*   We are in the midst of conducting even more extensive testing with real live data, going through the upgrade path set by Antier Solutions to ensure existing wallets, token balances, nominations/bonds, etc. are upgraded properly and persist after the upgrade to Polkadot stable2512
    
*   A testnet $REEF faucet is ready
    
*   There is a testnet indexer built
    
*   A new Reef web app is done
    
*   There's a new mobile app for the upgraded chain
    
*   And other apps compatible with the new EVM environment
    

All that's left now is to complete some documentation, and publish the environment and deploy the apps so that builders and users alike can try out the future of Reef!

Reef Pelagia testnet is opening up for everyone in the next 10 days. Be ready.
